Thermlapse
Radiometric thermal time-lapse imaging — real temperature data, not just pretty pictures.
Overview
Thermlapse captures time-lapse sequences of radiometric thermal images using FLIR ONE thermal cameras. Unlike standard thermal imaging apps, Thermlapse processes actual temperature data — enabling precise thermal analysis over time.
Compatible with FLIR ONE Classic, Edge, and Edge Pro models, Thermlapse provides customizable palettes, fusion modes, and a live thermal stream with recording controls.
Features
Radiometric Capture
Captures actual temperature data — not just colorized images. Enables precise thermal analysis over time.
Time-Lapse Recording
Automated thermal time-lapse sequences with configurable intervals and total capture duration.
Multiple Palettes
Customizable thermal palettes including Ironbow, Rainbow, Arctic, and more for different visualization needs.
FLIR ONE Compatibility
Works with FLIR ONE Classic, Edge, and Edge Pro models. Live thermal stream with full recording controls.

Compared
Both apps work with the same FLIR ONE hardware. The difference is the time-lapse workflow — Thermlapse preserves the per-pixel radiometric data across the entire sequence, which FLIR's own app does not.

Frequently Asked
A thermal time-lapse where each frame stores the actual per-pixel temperature data (radiometric values), not just a colorized RGB image. The original temperatures are preserved across the entire sequence so you can analyze, scale, or re-render the data later — for example, isolating a specific temperature band weeks after capture.
FLIR ONE Classic (USB-C tethered to the phone), FLIR ONE Edge (Wi-Fi), and FLIR ONE Edge Pro (Wi-Fi). All three deliver a live radiometric stream that Thermlapse records as a time-lapse with full per-pixel temperature data.
FLIR's first-party iOS app does live preview and single-frame radiometric capture, but it does not record radiometric time-lapses — you can take a video, but the per-pixel temperature data isn't preserved across the sequence. Thermlapse is built specifically for that workflow: configurable interval (1 fpm to 1 fps), automated total-duration captures, and the full radiometric stream stored frame-by-frame.
From one frame per minute up to one frame per second, configurable. Slower intervals are useful for long-duration thermal trends (overnight building cooldown, an HVAC cycle, an electrical panel under load); faster intervals are useful for shorter events where you still want measurable temperatures rather than a video.
Building envelope inspectors documenting thermal bridges over time; electrical inspectors monitoring panels under load; thermal researchers running controlled experiments where the per-pixel temperature data is the deliverable; and FLIR ONE owners who want a workflow the manufacturer's own app doesn't ship.
$9.99 — one-time purchase on the iOS App Store. No subscription. Android version is in development.
